Coral Calcium 1® is collected with ecological safety

The natural coral grains used in Coral Calcium 1 are harvested under the strict control of the Japanese government. The planning, the surveys, and ultimately the harvesting are done in concert with the Okinawa government.

First an area is designated for exploration. Then a survey team is dispatched to take samples. These samples are then analyzed for mineral content. If they meet the specification for "Coral Calcium Powder or CCP" ( about 32:4 ratio of calcium to magnesium), they then collect for CCP. Over ninety percent of the Okinawan basin is this grade. When they find the pockets of older and richer minerals, with the specification for "Sango Mineral Powder or SMP" ( about 24:12 calcium to magnesium ), they will narrow the harvest area and concentrate on collecting these precious grains.

In accordance with the Washington Treaty ( a law governing the protection of the living coral reefs), living coral are not harmed in the gathering of these grains.   Reports to the contrary are baseless and are made for the most part, by people with a vested interest in confusing the issues.
